Neurofeedback

At RisingMinds Advanced Therapy Center, we offer two kinds of neurofeedback: ILF and MCN. Neurofeedback does not heal or cure any illness, disease, or condition but helps calm the nervous system and improves neuro-regulation so the brain can heal itself. Results include:

  1. Enhanced Mood: Alleviation from depression, anxiety, and mood swings.

  2. Improved Neurological Function: Enhanced cognitive abilities, mental clarity, and memory. Facilitates recovery from stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

  3. Increased Brain Resilience: Greater capacity to manage stress and the challenges of modern life.

  4. Relaxation: A tranquil nervous system conducive to better sleep and heightened peace of mind.

  5. Better Self-Regulation: Improvement in flexibility between emotional and rational thinking, resulting in decreased dysregulation for those with autism spectrum disorders, aggressive disorders, sensory processing disorders, and ADHD.

ILF Neurofeedback, is also known as Infralow or "Othmer" Technique Neurofeedback. Infralow Neurofeedback is a safe, non-invasive, and highly effective treatment that utilizes advanced technology to target and regulate brainwave patterns. It has shown promising results in addressing a range of mental health conditions, including PTSD and trauma responses; TBI and post-concussion symptoms; and other concerns. ILF is extremely gentle and is appropriate for the most sensitive clients. ILF Neurofeedback has evolved, and over the past almost 40 years has become perfected and well established. ILF has positively impacted nearly two million individuals, thanks to the expertise of over 10,000 clinicians in more than forty countries. The ILF method is well represented in the scientific literature.

MCN Neurofeedback, is also known as IASIS Micro Current Neurofeedback. MCN bathes the brain energy, enabling the autonomic nervous system to neuro-regulate, triggering positive alterations in brainwaves. This leads to a more serene and resilient nervous system, fostering an improved sense of well-being. It has proven to be highly effective when used alongside other methods and approaches. MCN works more quickly than other kinds of neurofeedback. Practitioners have used earlier and similar versions of IASIS Neurofeedback for over 15 years. Recent research has supported this technique for PTSD and TBI with Veterans.

The instruments and techniques used in ILF and MCN Neurofeedback are FDA approved as medical devices.
